On Thursday, a day after Adele was photographed, a new annual financial report by her record label, XL Recordings, was filed with U.K. regulators and revealed news about the singer's future music releases. She has not released a new album since her second major record, the Grammy-winning 21, hit stores in 2011.
"There will not be a further new release by Adele during 2014 and consequently there will be a fall in XL's turnover and profits," the report states, according to The New York Times.
Well, that's not a "never," at least! The news follows comments made by OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder last year. He revealed he was working with Adele on her third studio album.
Also, just before her 26th birthday in May, she posted a cryptic tweet that led many fans to speculate new music was coming. Adele's second major record, 21, was released the year she turned 21, following the same trend as her debut album, 19.
"Rolling in the Deep," her most popular hit, is one of the tracks on 21, which won six Grammys, including Album of the Year, in 2012.
That year, she also won an Oscar for her song "Skyfall," featured in the James Bond film by the same name.
